Withered – Folie Circulaire

Underground ideals continue to permeate picky audiences even today. Take a listen to “Folie Circulaire”, a raw, dirty exploration into depression spearheaded with an old-school European death metal influenced guitar tone, some goey riffs and harsh grunting to boot. Now absorb some subtle black metal, make the tempos jump as hard as grind, and instead of having the drop-downs become breakdowns, make them dreary, doomy melancholy melodies.
Even with all the stop-and-go action, Withered keeps this album flowing like tears in an ever-flowing stream of sorrow. If you were looking for a new way to express how bummed you were about anything, this is it.
