TK Webb & The Visions - Ancestor

We all remember previous decades beyond the past 10 years all to be better. Sure the 70’s may have had some tacky styling, drab colours and bricks for cars, but we can look back on them today and laugh about how funny the style of the day was now, and of course going back in time is always simpler.
It’s all 70’s rock, stoner and blues, from the dirty guitars that are just in tune enough (or just barely out of tune), to the vocals living in the lovely land of reverb, to the really slow songs that dominate the album. Those slow movers really space out with some shimmering effects that get pretty close to what a 70’s pre-cursor to Isis might sound like.
What you get with “Ancestor” is a soundtrack to your life, if your life was mostly sitting on a couch chilling out to some tunes, with the fast ones being the short trip to the store.
