Grind is the kind of stuff that’s done well with passion, the danger of destroying itself at any minute, and sometimes even some absolutely crazy stuff you’ve never seen before thrown at you. Truth be told, while this does have all the trappings of grind - some high throat shredding vocals, top speed blast beats, short songs, and chords running up and down the neck with some more riff-oriented action going on, it all comes off as pretty standard, lacking some passion, and every song sounds alike.
For grind, there isn’t actually much grinding going on, ass “Amber Gray” is one blur from start to finish, and if you’re not paying attention, you won’t actually know when one song starts and another stops. If only the music had been as whacked out as the song titles and album art…
