Bigelf - Cheat the Gallows

Have you ever noticed how the more “modern” (yet not cutting edge) music we get shoved down our throats, the more we get bands coming out of the woodwork taking a look back in time? Witness Bigelf, who throw in together classic early 70’s rock powered by organs and a heavy Beatles influences to talk about the “Evils of Rock and Roll” and how “Money, it’s Pure Evil”. With songs like that, you know these dudes are all about passion, which you can feel pouring off this album like a spinning vinyl out of your speakers while you play it in your basement on your shag carpet.

This pulls in Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Beatles and even a tiny bit of Led Zeppelin to remind you of some good ol’ days back when times were simpler. While many albums are the kind of thing you put on because your angry or unhappy about lifes problems, this is one you can throw on to space out and escape all the quick-paced technology that bogs us down.
