Ceremony - Still Nothing Moves You

I haven’t been fortunate enough to hear the famed punk bands that influenced grindcore legends such Napalm Death. There’s so much action out there, I don’t always get a chance to get my hands on everything, but I’m guessing that if there was proto-grind punk Ceremony would fit the bill. How? By taking raw, early punk and hardcore, playing it at top speed, then suddenly throwing in huge slowdowns while yelping with a sneer at the top of ones lungs. Switch up the chord movements a little, toss in some blast beats and make give the vocals a bit more growl, and I swear this would’ve been early grind. It’s the kind of raw noise that your parents would hate you for listening to in the 80’s, which of course always a plus in our book!
